Sharon Temple - Summer Wedding
Weddings are a fun celebration of love, friendship, and shared journeys. This wedding was particularly special for me because the bride and I first met while studying Environmental Science at Carleton University. We bonded over our studies and outdoor adventures, and when she reached out while planning her wedding, I was excited to be asked to capture her special day!
The ceremony took place in a charming church, where the groom, proudly dressed in his striking red uniform, stood waiting at the altar. The bold red of the uniform makes for such unique photos, and adds a special layer of tradition to the day.
After the vows were exchanged, we made our way to The Sharon Temple, a National Historic Site and Museum, for their wedding portraits. The temple’s historic architecture and serene grounds offered the perfect backdrop for capturing intimate moments between the couple. With the bride glowing in her wedding gown and the groom in uniform, these made for some truly magical photos.
We ended their photography coverage at the golf course where the reception and cocktail hour would take place. Friends and family gathered on the terrace as we took wedding party portraits, laughing and celebrating. The rolling hills of the course, combined with the relaxed atmosphere, allowed for some fun, candid moments that captured the joy and excitement of the day.
It was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate this beautiful couple. From the emotional church ceremony to the lively reception surrounded by loved ones, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
